Description

This was my first attempt at creating a pygame, so I went all out. I missed the old Apogee platform games, and so I decided to make one of my own. Part one five levels (and a boss level), but I'm already working on part two. Enjoy!

Hi, I like your games, and was wondering if I could have your permission to debianize Georg's Melon Adventure, PyKye, Quintis, and Spreadsheet Circuit Board and add them to my websight, 'Ubuntu Extras'. You can view my websight at http://xzcallaway.synthasite.com/mariolemming.php

Hi bradshaw, your progs are looks nice. I wonder why you do not provide the sources. I am using 64bit linux so I can't run this game. Will be more simple with the source...
Do you afraid of something? Python, pygame are open source and free. If you do not make a commercial version it is more fair to release the source here on pygame.org.

I agree. Release the source. Also, the game's first level is too hard . . .

trbradshaw: you are free to not release your code, but please didn't fill the source code field if you don't give it!

Is that important?

And I am trying my best to get a Linux release. However, I only have Linux on virtual machines, and I'm having difficulty getting the packages installed for pygame.

How do I make my game fall under a particular license? Just by saying so, or do you have to register it somewhere?

By releasing the source code, people like you can share information and learn together. Beginners can learn from you and masters can guide you. If you're really worried about protecting your work, there's free licenses you can choose from :) My game (Ardentryst) is open source. Check it out if you're still hesitant :P (BTW I will play your game if it runs on my Linux computer =))

Hmmm . . . I don't know. I was hesitant to release the code, but it's really nothing special . . . I'll try to post it when I can.

Just FYI, you're killing your possible userbase by at least 50% by only having a Windows installer/version available. The game looks cool, though. I'd try it if the source or a Linux version was available. Hint hint. :)
