Description

Elderlore is a graphical roguelike in a random yet persistent medieval world. It will rely mostly on fractal landscapes and procedural cities and dungeons.

Web page is in french right now, and game is both in french and english.
Game is in early dev stage, needing pygame, ocempgui, and Numeric modules.

Changes

Some new stuff with this release: * some new grounds: snow, desert, ice on sea, mountains * graphic tiles are displayed more properly * use of memory and world creation time severely reduced * first implementation of the world models system * update of the in-game map with the new grounds * add of a name generator based on Markov chains

To reply to my previous comment, there is now (with the 0.0.7 release) a Windows binary on the Sourceforge page. Do not forget to unzip python24.zip on the root of your C drive if you haven't installed OcempGui.

As I have some problems generating Windows binaries, I'll publish only source code on next release, until the playable 0.1 release. Then I'll try to get some working binary. Sorry for the bother guys :-( but my py2exe knowledge is kinda limited...

You can change the langage in the "options" window and select "english" if you want. You'll get something like that: http://blog.elderlore.com/images/galeries/0.0.4/18122006.01.jpg Or there is an ini file where you can change "franÃ§ais" to "english". There is only one download for both langages.

Try to make an english version. If you load the text from a textfile you could send that textfile around and ask ppl to translate it. I didnt find the download on that french website -_-

I have upgraded to ocempgui 0.2.3 and the code from 0.0.3 is working fine with it. You are right Diego, they needed an extra week. Perhaps we'll have a christmas present ?

ATK is optionnal, you don't have to install it. One problem you might have is that I am still relying on an old release of Ocempgui. I will update to ocempgui 0.2.3 (and python 2.5) when Pygame 1.8 will be released. Perhaps on this friday ? ;-) I hope I'll be able to include those changes in the 0.0.3 version, that will come around next week-end.
