Pygame Package Builder's aim is to be a complete build automation environment for pygame-based projects. The system can be used from 2 programs: the GUI (built using wxPython) to create automation project files, and the command-line utility (pygbuild.py) which can use the same project files. Both can perform builds.

The principal purpose of PPB is to take a lot of the guesswork out of writing custom build scripts for pygame projects and to give the optimal package for your platform.

Changes

Fixed some bugs that created crashes in particular instances of Python without certain optional modules installed. This would prevent a full build from working, either with the CLI version or the GUI. This version *should* be Python version-neutral now, and much smaller.

Looks like the wordwrap module isn't part of the package in wxgtk. As for Linux, I haven't found anything in py2exe or distutils that specifically deals with making executables for that specific OS. I'm hopeful in the future though that I can wicker something together if I can't find it in the code or docs. This seems more like a black art trying to get it to work more than anything else, but I will try to get Linux in the mix as well. Thanks for pointing this out. Next beta revision I'll put some more OS tests and checks so I know what's safe to use in the UI and which isn't on which platform.

This looks really promising! Only, I cannot run it on linux (Kubuntu 9.04 x32). This is the error I get when I run python pygame_builder.py: Traceback (most recent call last): File "pygame_builder.py", line 12, in <module> from wx.lib.wordwrap import wordwrap ImportError: No module named wordwrap I have the newest python-wxgtk2.8 and all that..
