Tsuki no Sakura
Tsuki no Sakura - .07Lysander Daringer (lysander)Tags:DescriptionThe summary pretty much says it all. The idea is to make a JRPG-style game in similar fashion to the older Final Fantasy titles, but with a slightly more complicated active-time-battle type of combat system that includes the ability to use 'combination attacks'. The game is hardly the most unique venture in the world, but building it from scratch is proving to be challenging to say the least. I currently have no idea at all about what kind of story the game will have, as I'm still far too busy with trying to get the systems programmed.
I only have two more goals to reach before I have all of the game systems worked out well enough to move into private production for content- the combat system and more complicated event handling for story/quest events. If anyone is capable and interested in doing pixel art for future revenue share, send me a portfolio link if you have one. It won't be long now until I reach the content-production stage (at this rate anyways). ChangesBattle system is a little over halfway done, enough to try and it and see how things operate a bit. The code is really convoluted, I'm having trouble managing so many different things simultaneously. An RPG really is a monster of a thing to attempt for my first python project, a fact that's becoming increasingly clear to me, but I'm going to continue pushing forward. I'm planning for version .1 to be a playable demo that shows all of the different aspects to the game in perfect working order, so I've got my work cut out for me.
Open the chest immediately beside the avatar on load to see how the battle system operates (so far). Q and E switch between characters in battle, while the direction arrows and return/escape navigates the menus as always. Links
