Cellular Automata - 1.0

This is my first pygame project, it is a recreation of Conway's Game of Life. Use the mouse to place cells, then tap space to cycle through generations and watch the outcome If a cell has less than 2 neighbors and more than 3 it will die in the next cycle. If a cell has 3 neighbors it will live for the next cycle. If a dead cell has exactly 3 neighbors it will become a living cell in the next cycle. Enjoy!

Sorry for the very, very late reply. I stumbled across this project again today. Arkapravo if you randomly check here again, in answer to your previous question. In order to cycle through generations you simply need to press the Space Bar. Every press of the space bar is a new generation of cells.

Hi Mickey ! ..... it seems as a novel effort ! .... however I was not able to get it to work after 'putting' in the cells ..... if you can add a 'read-me' file for the end user then it may help ! ..... I had seen similar games in C++ (Robert Lafore) and apparently it seem you have done a fair job in translating C++/Java into python ! ..... look forward to the 'read-me' file ...cheers ! :)

our projects welcomes all python game, art, music, sound, video and multimedia projects. If they use pygame or not.
