Pong - 0.55

Manuel Kammermeier (astorek)

Just another Pong-Clone, my first Project with Python and Pygame. You can play it with one CPU- or another Human-Player... Game should be run on both Windows and Linux. Control is: Arrow-Keys for Player 1, wasd for Player 2. Sorry about the german-speaking Sourcecode + Readme, but my skill to speak english isn't very good^^.

Nice pong game. A lot better than most of the other ones out there. And yes, you need a better menu lol

Not a bad game. Some things to improve on: a better menu. try the EzMeNu lib (
Lost balls? i dunno.
Try some different backgrounds. Maybe you could have a random background for each game? Just some things to think about.

You might want to have a look at GeoStrike for a better Mainmenu.
And imho it would be a good idea to change line 120 (clock.tick(30)) to clock.tick(schwierigkeitsgrad) and set schwierigkeitsgrad (=difficulty) in another menu, I thing on 30 frames plaing versus the AI is boring, while 60 frames is a pretty hard challenge. And why do you use this black box below the Counter?
You should probably specify the GPL version you use in the Readme.
btw: the site site doesn't allow me to access it.

our projects welcomes all python game, art, music, sound, video and multimedia projects. If they use pygame or not.
