Pop the Bubbles

Pop the Bubbles - 1.0

John Eriksson (wmjoers)

I made this as a toy for my son (Pelle) who loves to pop soap bubbles in real life. He really likes this program and maybe there are other bubble-loving children out there that might enjoy it.

I intend to make some sort of game out of it but for some reason that hasn't happened yet.

Start the game with "python".

Use the mouse and click on the bubbles to make them pop. Press Space to switch to another mouse pointers. The black n' white pointers are "Robots" drawn by my son. :-)

This is so beautiful. As tgfcoder said, pygame games aren't usually this pretty. If only more of us would make games like Pop the Bubbles.

Sorry for triple-posting, but for those who don't figure it out at first, the frequency of the pop sound is determined by the size of the bubble. Attention to detail is very thorough :)

edit: something that many games on lack.*

Wow. The simplicity of the game was overlooked. The polish that this game has, from graphics, to sound, to the incredible attention to coding is something that many games today lack. 5/5 for the best bubble-popping game around!
