Hey guys,

quick turn around, just edit this 3 lines (482,483,485) in main.py :

self.bg1 = data.load_img(lines[3][:-1])

self.bg2 = data.load_img(lines[4][:-1])

self.bg3 = data.load_img(lines[5][:-1])

and change the [:-1] to [:-2], that should do the work :D

I liked the game, but I'm in a virtual machine right now (Virtual Xubuntu) and I don't have any sound, but I still liked it a lot =D

I found this solution:
- install tofrodos package (on (K)Ubuntu)
- open a shell
- change directory to .../RoboMinions-1.2/data
- run dos2unix l*.txt

In this way, all maps are converted from DOS to UNIX

Anyway, I found the problem. You level data is stored in text files with DOS line endings. (CR/LF) but for whatever reason, the CR is still there when the g_backdrop.png line read from data/l1.txt gets passed to load_img()

Here is the patch that I used to work around the problem.

Hey, I've run into some problems. When it starts loading images defined in data/l*.txt, it tries to load "g_backdrop.png\n" for example. Which it does not find. You have to strip the lines when reading from a file.

After that, I got up to the level in the screenshot (and died)
Not a terribly addictive game, but good work! The graphics were quite amazing :)
