Description

Scrumper is a game that allows the player to engage in the victimless crime of apple theft from the comfort of their own home. The object of the game is to catch as many falling apples as possible.

The game is a loose remake of an early 'type-in' ZX Spectrum game. (See readme/homepage for details)

Key controls:

Left/Right cursor keys: run left and right
P: pause/unpause
F: toggle fullscreen (only works on title screen or when paused)
M: toggle music (during gameplay)
Esc: quit program

Known bugs:

The game currently doesn't handle multiple keypresses correctly. You must release the movement key before pressing the opposite movement key.

Try www.SoundSnap.com for good free music :)

Thanks for the feedback. :)

I was originally going to have an eating animation, but it's *slightly* too much work (splitting the sprite into head + body) for a small visual benefit. (Hmm, ejecting apple cores might look good.)

Music is less of a problem, I'll see if I can find a suitable royalty free piece.

Good graphics, nice gameplay, and cool sound effects. Here's some suggestions: Add a biting an apple animation and add some background music maybe... Great game! Oh and my highscore was 34. :)
