Sitter - 0.3

Pick up the children and get them to the goal without killing them. The mechanics of this one are similar to Chip and Dale's Rescue Rangers, or Super Mario Bros 2. Includes 5 level sets: 1-4 players + tutorial. This is "in progress". Hopefully, a polished, final version will be up here in mid-January or so...


A brand new Sitter release! I started from scratch with the code, so a lot of the little glitches from 0.2 are gone. And a whole lot of new little glitches are here. :)

Oh, thanks Mike. I never figured that out... It's still kinda frustrating when you do something very little wrong and make the whole level not-finishable. The game is unforgiving at best :[

Like, a two-block width gap can only fit EXACTLY two things. And if you're not one
of them, or the one thing there isn't exactly to the edge, there's isn't a way to grab it.

I thought about making the girls face the direction you throw them, but there are times when you need them to 'boomerang' back. There are 80-some levels now, and I'm aiming for 150 by v1.0. HOPEFULLY, the new ones will be easier, and things will start to make sense.... :)

Heheh very nice! First level was a bit to hard, and the ones after that got easier. I like the new sounds, especially my 'Texas Pete' jump sound ;-) Very nice! Next you need a save feature!

How far you throw the girl depends on what direction she's facing. So if she's facing left and you throw her left, she'll go farther. Took me a bit to figure this out but it really helps (especially in the first level)

I find it really annoying when the little girls run the wrong way 9 times out of 10 :P And when you throw just a bit too far.... For me there are too many stressful bits! I get annoyed and frustrated easily.. >_< Once it's finished though, probably 5/5 :)

Yeah, I'm waiting to finish all the levels before putting them in order, so they don't really make sense yet... :)
First I've heard of the crashing on redo... did you get a stack trace?

Co-op is an awesome idea, the basics are pretty fun too. I found the first single player level really difficult, whereas the levels after are not so bad. There were some bugs also, for instance sometimes when I choose "redo level" it crashes.
