Stellar is an open-source program inspired in "Game Maker" for Pygame/Python development.

The goal is to have a program to design your own games using easy-to-learn drag-and-drop actions and different easy tools for begginers.
When you become more experienced, you will have the possibilitie of writing and editing your game with the full flexibility given by Python/Pygame.

This is the first version, it has almost nothing, but I would love to be helped by anyone interested in the project.

You are free to distribute the games you create with Stellar in any way you like. You can even sell them. This of course assumes that the sprites, images, and sounds you use can be distributed or sold as well.

The idea looks cool, but it only half works under Linux at the moment... os.startfile() only works in Windows.

Kenny, That's what I thought too ( absolute File path )
I think it's easy to solve that one, currently fixed the autocomplete that didn't work well... (this version still needs to be released)

After a few release, I didn't see any game built. So here it is. Run the
Stellar is rocking!

I don't know about pyQT4, so I add some scripts and modify some commend in Resource.
Basically, I start by adding main game loop in the script, and adding stuff from there.
File path is troublesome, absolute file path is not portable. I hope you have some solution.

Known issue:
1. gif file is not transparency unless the file itself is transparency. So I modify one file to a sprite sheet. Lazy to do the rest.
2. Currently, this library has just enough events and actions to make such small game. 0.0

I hope my library makes yours stellar rock and roll!

I know about PIL library to load all frame in GIF and convert it for use in pygame. If you have the other which use pure python and pygame, I definitely need it.

Do you need a library for animated GIF capabilities? I have one if you need it.

I'll release in "University of Python" when it is done.

There is no library yet, and the code is very messy.
My library will come with a mini game something like evil clutches.
It will have something like event and action to operate on the classes.

By the way, pyQT4 make a nice looking Gui. XD

I'm setting this thing up for the first time.
Actually, I was looking for a program like this all over the internet and since I couldn't find one, I decided to start the project on my own.

Soon I'll post the download link of the source code.
I'm very interested in checking your project, is there any website with a preview or something?

I am trying to build a python/pygame library to work very similar to "Game maker" too. However, I start by the code first, not by Gui. If the code work, Gui can be implemented very easy. After the library is done, it'll come into "University of python" which is my project that'll teach people how to use my library. Let see how your Gui work :)

our projects welcomes all python game, art, music, sound, video and multimedia projects. If they use pygame or not.
