Description

Trosnoth is a network team game that requires team strategy to win.
The Trosnoth idea was conceived by a bunch of ÜberTweak leaders who were looking for another network game to play on camp that:

was low-cost;
was team-based;
involved strategy;
was easy to teach.

Changes

Changes since v1.0.1:

Added new Trosnoth music.
Game uses a new discovery protocol to detect games over the Internet and LAN.
Extensive changes to network protocol.
New ricochet upgrade.
Ghosts can no longer enter out-of-bound zones.
Ghost speed now varies based on mouse position.

More game statistics are saved.
Replay and game statistics files merged into a single file.
Various improvements to user interface.
Various bug fixes.

Trosnoth, Trosnoth, Trosnoth WOW! This game is excellent! Why? If you love working together as a team to DESTROY YOUR OPPOSITION then this is for you! Even though the objective of the game is about taking over the map rather than the most kills, it's still fun to annihilate people in any game. You can see the trosnoth website above, definitely check it out to see how to play. I would say that this game is best played in a LAN setting so everyone can enjoy the fast paced environment of the game. Because only one shot will kill you, this means everyone is going to be doing lots and lots of dying unless you've perfected how to DODGE BULLETS and become extremely difficult to kill. I really like this game because it's simple and fun while maintain the focus of teamwork, because when you and a bunch of your mates DESTROY some other people through your combined hard work, it feels great. Just download it and try it out, it's probably best played with at least 4v4 or higher, just to maintain that teamwork element of the game, otherwise it just becomes a cat and mouse game of chasing zones when there aren't enough people in it. Best of all, the game is free, so LAN party it up. Chairs!
